Blooming Spring Celebration
Spring is when the budding plants and verdant leaves reappear after their winter hibernation at Schlitz Audubon. As the flowers sprout, they bring with them potential of growth and new beginnings. What better time to celebrate the start of your married life together?
Emily and Ryan exchanged vows on the west Pavilion Courtyard with a crescent of colorful blooms around them and a background of towering trees. Sunlight streamed through the branches, a stained-glass sign marked the entrance, and guests were welcomed to their seats by the bride’s brother playing guitar.
Cocktail hour followed the ceremony and took place on the Veranda patio, with our whiskey barrel wooden bar and rustic log Adirondack rocking chairs. Our resident Raptors greeted guests as they made their way up the path to enjoy cocktails and the natural scenery!
The reception continued in the Great Hall, where it truly felt like spring had sprung! Tables were styled with light pink linens, an assortment of candles, flowers, stained-glass table numbers, and disposable cameras for guests to capture candids throughout the evening. Cafe string lights illuminated the dance floor, while a signing bench and a live painter added personal and artistic touches to the night! After a delicious buffet dinner and pastry selection, the newlyweds cut their charming heart-shaped cake and shared their first dance. Dancing continued late into the night, wrapping up this sweet spring wedding!
