Youth Education
Whether you are a teacher or homeschool parent looking to augment your science curriculum with hands-on learning, or a scout troop leader wanting to fulfill outdoor-themed badges, we have programming to fit your environmental education needs.
School Programs
Our environmental education programming is infused with adventure and creativity to foster a deeper understanding of the natural world. Our dedicated staff of naturalists have created these unique experiential learning programs, designed to correlate to the Wisconsin Department of Instruction Standards for Science.
Homeschool
Our Homeschool programs are science and project-based education designed for students aged 6 – 11 years. Each session combines indoor and outdoor activities with take-home learning extensions at the end of every session. Students are encouraged to interact with their instructors between sessions.
Scouting
We offer interactive programs designed to help Boy Scout and Girl Scout troops fulfill the requirements needed to complete badges. Our educational programs help you and your scouts delve into nature while also fostering important scout qualities including responsibility, stewardship, and safety. Our programs correlate with National Boy Scout and National Girl Scout standards and are taught by professionally trained naturalists.
Offsite Programs
Schlitz Audubon’s educational offerings are not just limited to our 185 acres – each year we provide outreach programming for a variety of community organizations including libraries, child care facilities, recreation centers, etc. All programs below can be facilitated in either a meet & greet or assembly-style format.
