Homeschool
Our Homeschool programs are science and project-based education designed for students aged 6 – 11 years. Each session combines educational activities and games with take-home learning extensions to help students do more in-depth exploration on related topics. Students are encouraged to interact with their instructors between sessions. At the beginning of every session, students will have the opportunity to share their work with the group.
Your child is guaranteed to learn different science topics no matter what year they are in the program, as both age-specific programs run on a 3-year curriculum cycle. We encourage students to sign up annually as each program references previous programs, but we welcome trimester participation.
Homeschool Programs
Elementary Programs: Sessions run the second Thursday of the month from 9:30am-12:00pm, September – May for both Junior Elementary (ages 6 – 8) and Senior Elementary (ages 9 – 11). Please note that this is a drop-off program.
Potential Secondary Program: We would love to offer a secondary level for ages 12-14 to build on concepts learned at the elementary level. This offering would include canoeing in search of pond critters, meeting an owl and learning its adaptations, collecting wildlife data, learning about green infrastructure, and more! If interested, please contact Laine Cotteleer at lcotteleer@schlitzaudubon.org for more details.
Pricing & Registration
A completed student profile, which includes a health history and emergency care plan, is required for each participant prior to registration. We require a new Student Profile prior to each school year. Students must be the minimum age by the first class of the first session they enroll in.
