Watercolor Painting Workshop
Adults, Art, Wheelchair Accessible
Saturdays, September 13 & September 20
Explore basic watercolor painting in this two-day workshop designed for beginning and intermediate level painters looking to spend time with other nature enthusiasts. You will learn simple techniques while exploring elements of nature and wildlife found at the Center. This workshop is self-paced with instructor guidance and participants typically complete one to two projects.
Instructor José Acevedo uses art to explore the natural world, and finds inspiration in the birds, fish, and wildlife of the Midwest. His watercolor paintings use a combination of transparent watercolor paints and inks. Acevedo is also a self-taught wood carver. His hand-painted wood carvings of native Wisconsin birds, fish, and wildlife were featured at local businesses, including Schlitz Audubon and Boerner Botanical Gardens.
This program will take place entirely indoors. This program does not include materials; registered participants will receive a supply list. Please bring a bag lunch.
