Watercolor Painting Workshop
Adults, Art, Wheelchair Accessible
Saturdays, March 7 & March 14
Explore basic watercolor painting during this two-day workshop designed for beginner and intermediate level painters looking to spend time with other nature enthusiasts. You will learn simple techniques while exploring elements of nature and wildlife found at the Center. This workshop is self-paced with instructor guidance and participants typically complete one to two projects. Materials are not provided, and participants can purchase from a supply list.
Instructor José Acevedo uses art to explore the natural world, and finds inspiration in the birds, fish, and wildlife of the Midwest. His watercolor paintings use a combination of transparent watercolor paints and inks. Acevedo is also a self-taught wood carver and works with sustainable and found objects to highlight the wonders of the Great Lakes. His hand-painted wood carvings of native Wisconsin birds, fish, and wildlife are featured at select galleries and shops.
This program will take place entirely indoors. Participants can view the supply list here. Please bring a bag lunch.
Members: $88 | Non-members: $110
