Acrylic Painting Workshop
Adults, Art, Wheelchair Accessible
Saturdays, April 18 & April 25
Learn the basics of painting with acrylics during this two-day workshop created for beginning and intermediate-level painters. Enjoy an afternoon with other bird, wildlife, and nature enthusiasts and get an introduction to exciting acrylic painting techniques while exploring elements of nature and wildlife found at Schlitz Audubon. Students progress at their own pace with instructor guidance. Canvas will be provided. Other materials are not provided, and participants can purchase from this supply list.
Instructor José Acevedo uses art to explore the natural world and finds inspiration in the birds, fish, wildlife, and native plants of the Midwest. He has taught both acrylic painting workshops and nature drawing workshops. Acevedo is also a self-taught wood carver and works with sustainable and found objects to highlight the wonders of the Great Lakes. His hand-painted wood carvings of native Wisconsin birds, fish, and wildlife are featured at select galleries and shops.
This program will take place entirely indoors. Participants can view the supply list here. Please bring a bag lunch.
