Nature School Art Studio: Nature’s Gifts
Explore the natural world through art! Children can explore, experiment, and take artistic risks to discover their own individual approach to artmaking.
Nature gifts us with a wealth of inspiring materials, and we will use these natural materials and pigments to create nature-inspired projects. Try your hand at paper making, painting with natural pigments and dyes, or create using natural charcoal. Sculpt with earth clay to create sculptures with pebbles, sticks, and pinecones.
This program is hosted by the Nature School’s Artist in Residence, Abbey Finn. This series of programs offers Process Art experiences, which allow children to focus on the process of making art, rather than the finished product. It’s an open-ended, unstructured, and self-motivated way for children to explore materials, techniques, and self-expression.
The Gardens Outdoor Classroom will serve as our Art Studio with various stations for exploration of materials and processes. This is a drop-off program designed for children ages 4-6. Tickets are non-transferable.
Members: $25 per child | Non-members: $32 per child
