Schlitz Audubon Nature Center

Winter at Schlitz Audubon

Winter is a fantastic time to visit the Center. Depending on the weather and temperature, the Lake Michigan shoreline is continually reshaping itself with ever-changing ice canos, glistening icicles, and breathtaking sunrises. Members can check out snowshoes for free while visiting; $10 per pair for nonmembers. Cross-country skis are welcome on the Center’s trails. See how many tracks you can discover and identify in the snow!

Winter Panorama

Your guide to winter at the Center has arrived! Learn about how volunteers make an incredible impact on the land, the newly built Raptor Exhibit, a history of snowshoes, and a few of the best discoveries you can make when visiting in wintertime. Panorama includes a listing of programs taking place during January, February, and March.
