Mammals Have Fur
There are over 4500 different types of mammals in the world and Wisconsin is home to over 70 of them. Students discover the characteristics that make an animal a mammal. We focus on Wisconsin mammals, the habitats that they live in, and the physical and behavioral adaptations that help them survive. Students view mounts of various species found in our area and enjoy a hands-on experience looking at furs, skulls, and feet.
