Ecology Through Geocaching
Geocaching at Schlitz Audubon combines nature education, technology, and team building. Students work together to find various coordinate points around the property with GPS units. Participation in this program develops a real-world understanding of latitude, longitude, and cardinal directions. Each team has the opportunity to visit forests, prairies, and ponds. They can also climb our 60-foot observation tower and visit many more natural landmarks. This program can accommodate a maximum of 10 separate groups of students. Schools must provide one adult for each group of students.
