Xtreme Raptor Day 2025

Join us for our annual raptor festival that celebrates these powerful hunters of the sky! This unique event is held throughout the Center and offers unforgettable encounters with the resident, non-releasable birds in our care, while supporting the Raptors of Schlitz Audubon.

Meet our resident raptors up close – including owls, hawks, falcons, and eagles! You’ll gain fascinating insights into each species, including their lifestyle habits and habitats. Stations across the grounds will provide interactive and educational experiences for you and your guests. Learn about conservation, how to nurture and support birds around your own home, and enjoy bird-themed crafts and activities. Plus, you can sign up to have your picture taken with your favorite raptor! 

The Xtreme Raptor Day Silent Auction is open now and runs through Sunday, November 9 at 8:00 pm! Whether or not you attend the event, you can join in the fun and support the Raptors of Schlitz Audubon by browsing and bidding on auction items today. Every bid helps provide specialized care, enrichment, and training for our educational raptor ambassadors. 

Scheduled Activities:

Talon Quest Adventure Hike | 10:00am – 4:00pm 
The main way to see our birds! Use your Xtreme Passport to follow clues to discover our raptors on the trails.
Eagle Meet & Greet with Valkyrie | 10:30am – 12:00pm  
Photo with a Raptor Registration Required | 10:30am – 3:45pm

• Dive deep into the lives of owls at Owl Cove 
• Make your own window decals to help migrating birds 
• Uncover the importance of vultures around the world at Vulture Culture 
• Participate in science experiments in our Raptor Lab 
• Learn about migration of soaring birds at our Observation Tower 
• Share personal messages with the birds of our Program

Space is limited. Registration occurs in person on the day of the event. We recommend registering early to guarantee your spot!

Food trucks Munch Mobile and Tots on the Street will be on hand with food for purchase. 

This event will take place indoors and outdoors, rain or shine. 

Please note: On this day, the Center is only open for this event.
