Schlitz Audubon Bird Club – Nocturnal Birds
Adults, Birding Academy, Clubs, Free with Membership, Guided Hikes
Birds of the night are more often seen than heard. We’ll start off the evening with a short hike in the woods – we’ll look and listen for who’s there. Afterwards, we’ll have an indoor presentation to learn about some of the more likely nocturnal birds you may encounter at the Center and their behaviors.
Join a welcoming community of bird enthusiasts on the second Wednesday of the month. New and experienced birders will meet to learn together, discuss bird-related issues, and hike to discover birds on our trails. Our co-hosts are Environmental Educator Laine Cotteleer and Dan Panetti, owner of Wild Birds Unlimited in Mequon.
Anyone aged 14 and older who is interested in learning more about birds regardless of prior experience is welcome. You will learn and enhance identification skills from experienced birders. We will meet in front of the Visitor Center to begin the walk by our Feeder Grove.
Free to all. Optional donation supports habitat preservation at the Center. Registration required.
