Nature School Information and Panel Discussion
Join us for an informational session about our award-winning Nature School. You’ll learn how we integrate nature into our overall approach and curriculum. We’ll start with an open house style tour of the indoor and outdoor classrooms from 5:30pm to 6:00pm. Afterwards, there will be a panel discussion from 6:00pm to 7:00pm featuring our Nature School staff, as well as current and alumni parents. During this time, we will present an overview of the Nature School program, hiking protocols, daily routines, outdoor gear recommendations, and details about the enrollment process for the 2026/2027 school year.
The Schlitz Audubon Nature School was founded in 2003, then known as the Schlitz Audubon Nature Preschool. Nature is our teaching partner as classes spend their days in our four outdoor classrooms surrounded by the trails of the Center. Our uniqueness stems from a strong commitment to social and emotional learning and developing a sense of community through an emergent curriculum and inquiry-based learning. The Schlitz Audubon Nature School is a fully licensed, nine-month outdoor early childhood program offering morning or afternoon half-day Nature Preschool and K4 classes.
This program will take place both indoors and outdoors.
Free to all. Registration is required.
