As we enter into the Halloween season, now is the perfect time of year to learn about the spookiest birds of the raptor world – owls! Though Wisconsin’s 11 owl species are well-loved, they are seldom seen in the wild. Our resident owl ambassadors will reveal the secrets of their specialized nocturnal hunting adaptations, how owls are unique amongst raptors, and what to look and listen for when searching for these mysterious nighttime predators.
Pre-registration is required. You are welcome to hike the trails after the program until 1:00pm.
This program will take place outdoors at the amphitheater – please plan your arrival time accordingly. Seating will allow for social distancing but have a mask with you to be worn when you are six feet or less from others. Please do not attend if you are sick or believe you have been exposed to the virus. See our latest COVID-19 updates here.
