Nature Journaling: Flowers
Saturday, September 6, 2025 | 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm
$17.00 – $23.00Nature journaling uses drawings, words, and numbers to collect and record your nature observations, questions, and explanations in a notebook. It is a way to slow down, awaken your curiosity, and marvel at nature’s beauty. We will start by reviewing the basics of nature journaling and techniques for drawing flowers. Then we will head out to the trails to practice the techniques while observing late summer blooms. No experience is needed for nature journaling, so this is an excellent opportunity to start your journaling journey.
Environmental Educator Shelly Rollins will be your instructor for this program. She has a BFA in Fine Arts and is passionate about combining art and nature.
We will be starting inside followed by a short hike outside. Please bring a sketchbook or unlined notebook and some materials for drawing and writing. Rulers, measuring tape, and binoculars are helpful, but not required. Journaling materials are also available for purchase in our Nature Store.
