Nature Drawing Workshop
Adults, Art, Wheelchair Accessible
Saturdays, January 24 & January 31
Using nature as an inspiration, participants will learn essential elements and basics of drawing during this two-day workshop. We’ll cover the use of materials, drawing from life, and linear perspective. You’ll work at your own pace and learn how to draw what you perceive. Projects are designed to cover various aspects of rendering from rough concept to comprehensive drawing. Participants are encouraged to bring any supplies that they may already have or purchase items using this supply list.
Instructor José Acevedo believes drawing is the foundation for all other forms of art. He uses art to explore the natural world, with a particular interest in the birds, fish, and wildlife of the Midwest. Acevedo is also a self-taught wood carver and works with sustainable and found objects to highlight the wonders of the Great Lakes. His hand-painted wood carvings of native Wisconsin birds, fish, and wildlife are featured at select galleries and shops.
This program will take place entirely indoors. Participants can view the supply list here. Please bring a bag lunch.
Members: $88 | Non-members: $110
