Literary Hike: Courage of Birds by Pete Dunne

On this hike, discover the strength and strategies that birds use to survive the cold winter season within the pages of The Courage of Birds by Pete Dunne. While exploring the trails, we will pause at various locations to read excerpts from the book. In addition, there will be activities and artifacts to deepen your connections with our winter residents. By the end of this hike, you will gain appreciation and knowledge of the many bird species that endure winter.
This hike is led by Environmental Educator Cassie Rincon. She has led a variety of literary hikes about nature and is a backyard bird enthusiast; her favorite being the Black-capped Chickadee.
This program will take place both indoors and outdoors.
