Hiking the Ice Age Trail: Loew Lake Field Trip
Adults, Field Trips, Guided Hikes
Over its 1,000 mile course, the Ice Age National Scenic Trail is renowned for its beauty and impressive geologic features. Join Director of Education Tom Finley on the hike, starting at Loew Lake, continuing north along the Ice Age Trail, and finishing with a picturesque view of nearby Holy Hill. We’ll meet at the Loew Lake Unit – Emerald Drive parking lot in Washington County.
We’ll encounter a variety of habitats along the way and share the historic events that shaped the geology of the region. Expect to hike two to three miles over undulating and occasionally rocky terrain. Further details will be emailed to participants the Monday prior to the trip. Please note, there are no restroom facilities at this location.
