Fall Changes in the Prairie Walk
Sunday, September 28, 2025 | 9:00 am - 10:30 am
$17.00 – $23.00
Explore the Center’s meadows and prairies in search of fall blooms and other signs of the changing season. Using field guides and other resources, you’ll learn key identification features, how the plants adjust to colder temperatures, and where they are most often found. By the end of the walk, you will be able to identify a variety of native plants, as well as whether those plants can be incorporated into your own yard.
Environmental Educator, Master Gardener, and horticulturist Sandy Manning will lead you on your hike. She has been teaching different audiences about plants for many years, including within the Master Naturalist course.
This program will take place entirely outdoors.
