Rocks and minerals are found everywhere in our everyday life: in our toothpaste, our food, and our homes. Through activities, geological artifacts, and demonstrations, students look at the three different types of rocks, the forces that change them from one type of rock into another, and the minerals that rocks contain. Students learn about the formation of fossils, what our state fossil is, and in what kind of rocks we find them. Discover how much our lives depend upon rocks and minerals!
