Dinosaurs at Schlitz Audubon?
Could dinosaurs have lived at Schlitz Audubon? Students explore the Center’s habitats, searching for signs of ancient living organisms. They examine fossils, looking for clues of former plant and animal life found in the rocks here in Wisconsin. They learn how fossils are formed and identify creatures who once lived in the warm seas that covered much of our state. We then look for living plants that resemble those that existed in the time of the dinosaurs. Students participate in a ‘dino dig’ on our Lake Michigan shore and trek to the top of our 60-foot observation tower, the same height as an Ultrasaurus!
