Bats are Beautiful
Over 1,200 types of bats live on every continent except Antarctica. Yet bats are often misunderstood and feared because they are odd-looking and nocturnal. Students learn about the world’s only flying mammals, including how they adapted to fly, how they see in the dark, and how they use echolocation to catch their food. Students view bat artifacts and take part in activities as we unravel myths about the bat, and learn about the great benefits these creatures offer.
