Planting for the Birds Seminar
Adults, Birding Academy, Guided Hikes
At the Center, we continuously work on land restoration to provide sustainable habitats for the diverse array of birds that live here. In this seminar, learn what attracts birds in a natural landscape and how you can replicate these features in your own spaces. Starting with an indoor presentation, we will guide you through identifying key native plant species that best support birds. Afterwards, we will visit the newly enhanced Feeder Grove Observation Area and the Courtyard Pavilion to look at what other habitat features are needed to support our avian friends.
This seminar is led by Director of Conservation Drew Shuster. He has been restoring the land at Schlitz Audubon for 10 years, including working on the Feeder Grove and the Courtyard Pavilion.
This program will take place both indoors and outdoors.
