Nature School Art Studio: Solstice Creations
Art, Early Childhood, Preschool
Explore the natural world through art! Children can explore, experiment, and take artistic risks to discover their own individual approach to artmaking.
Join us as we celebrate the winter solstice with projects that swirl, spiral and celebrate all that winter has to offer! We will explore various mediums such as paint and fibers using the solstice, snow and ice as inspiration.
This program is hosted by the Nature School’s Artist in Residence, Abbey Finn. This series of programs offers Process Art experiences, which allow children to focus on the process of making art, rather than the finished product. It’s an open-ended, unstructured, and self-motivated way for children to explore materials, techniques, and self-expression.
The Gardens Outdoor Classroom will serve as our Art Studio with various stations for exploration of materials and processes. This is a drop-off program designed for children ages 4-6. Tickets are non-transferable.
Members: $25 per child | Non-members: $32 per child
