Nature School Art Studio: Lake Michigan Inspiration
Saturday, July 12, 2025 | 9:30 am - 11:30 am
$25.00 – $32.00Delve into the natural world through art! Students can explore, experiment, and take artistic risks to discover their own individual approach to artmaking. July’s class takes its inspiration from our favorite Schlitz Audubon feature: Lake Michigan. We will explore the colors and textures of the Lake through painting and sculpting. We will also take further inspiration from local art legend Mary Nohl and her wonderous garden of sculptures using treasure found on the beach.
Hosted by the Nature School’s Artist in Residence, Abbey Finn, this series of programs offers Process Art experiences for children aged 3 to 6. Process Art allows children to focus on the process of making art, rather than the finished product. It’s an open-ended, unstructured, and self-motivated way for children to explore materials, techniques, and self-expression. The Gardens Outdoor Classroom will serve as our Art Studio with various stations for exploration of materials and processes.
This is a drop-off program designed for children ages 3-6.
Members: $25 per child | Non-members: $32 per child
