Nature School Art Studio: Cozy Threads and Fibers
Explore the natural world through art! Children can explore, experiment, and take artistic risks to discover their own individual approach to artmaking.
Stay warm and cozy indoors as we create projects with various fibers and processes to create projects using various colors and textures. Process art options will include projects incorporating wool felting, weaving, stitching, and wrapping.
This program is hosted by the Nature School’s Artist in Residence, Abbey Finn. This series of programs offers Process Art experiences for Process Art allows children to focus on the process of making art, rather than the finished product. It’s an open-ended, unstructured, and self-motivated way for children to explore materials, techniques, and self-expression.
The Goldfinch indoor Classroom will serve as our Art Studio with various stations for exploration of materials and processes.
