Nature School Art Studio: Birds and Beasts
Explore the natural world through art! Students can experiment and take artistic risks to discover their own individual approach to artmaking.
This session will dive into the patterns of various animals such as stripes, patches, dots, and blocks of colors. Paint with feathers, make your own animals from recycled materials, weave with wool and feathers, and explore the patterns of animal tracks.
Hosted by the Nature School’s Artist in Residence, Abbey Finn, this series of programs offers Process Art experiences for children aged 3 to 6. Process Art allows children to focus on the process of making art, rather than the finished product. It’s an open-ended, unstructured, and self-motivated way for children to explore materials, techniques, and self-expression.
The Gardens Outdoor Classroom will serve as our Art Studio with various stations for exploration of materials and processes.
This is a drop-off program designed for children ages 3-6. Tickets are non-transferable.
Members: $25 per child | Non-members: $32 per child
