$28.00 – $34.00Adults, Birding, Field Trips, Guided Hikes
Over its 1,000-mile course, the Ice Age National Scenic Trail in Wisconsin is renowned for its scenic beauty and impressive geologic features. This hike will be led by Director of Education Tom Finley, taking us to the Southern Kettle Moraine State Forest near Ottawa Lake. We’ll follow the trail northward as it winds its way through a beautiful hardwood forest near the historic Scuppernong Springs. Many of the features we’ll encounter were created near the end of the Ice Age, some 12,000 years ago.
Expect to hike approximately three miles over sometimes rugged and rocky terrain.
The field trip begins and ends at the SKM State Forest. Further details and directions will be emailed to registered participants the week prior to the trip.
Members: $28 | Non-Members: $34
