Full Snow Moon
Adults, Families, Guided Hikes
RAIN DATE: Monday, February 2 | 6:00p-7:30p
February is one of the country’s snowiest months of the year, giving the month’s full moon its namesake: the Snow Moon. Embark on a journey to experience nature during Wisconsin’s stillest and quietest month by searching for evidence of elusive winter animals along our trails. We will savor the serenity of winter on a trek down to the lake. As the sun sets and the Snow Moon rises, we will make our way up our 60-foot observation tower for a stellar view of Lake Michigan in the moonlight.
Your guide for this evening will be Environmental Educator Jim Thielke, an experienced naturalist who is passionate about sharing his knowledge of Wisconsin’s native flora and fauna. He will meet you at the stone bench outside the Visitor Center to begin the hike.
This program is designed for all ages, children and adults alike. Children must be accompanied by an adult; each child and adult require a ticket. This program will take place entirely outdoors.
Members: $12 per person | Non-members: $18 per person
