Evening Hike: Colors of Twilight
Delight in the colors under the setting sun during this evening hike. Learn about how our eyes are able to perceive different colors, and how animals have certain adaptations to help them see during twilight. We will climb up the 60-foot observation tower to view the sun setting in the west and the blue hues of Lake Michigan in the east. After the sun sets, we will hike through the prairies and forests in search of active animals.
Your guide for this hike is Environmental Educator Cassie Rincon. Her fascination with the natural world and the colors it presents inspires her to explore the trails and share her findings with all ages.
This program will take place entirely outdoors. In the case of inclement weather, part of the program will take place indoors.
