Block Printing Workshop: Make Your Own Stamp

Expand your crafting horizons with the ancient art of block printing! For thousands of years, this technique has been used on textiles to create patterns or images through carving a drawing into the negative space of different mediums, like wood or linoleum. In this workshop, learn the historical and current uses of block printing and make your own block. Using linoleum, which is a soft eraser type material, you’ll carve your own creations to press onto cardstock.
Environmental Educator Melanie Ziolecki will teach about this relaxing art form. She makes her own unique stamps that have been used for a variety of projects.
This program will take place entirely indoors. All materials will be provided.
