Bird Club

Join a welcoming community of bird enthusiasts on the second Wednesday of the month. New and experienced birders will meet to learn together, discuss bird-related issues, and hike to discover birds on our trails. Our co-host is Dan Panetti, owner of Wild Birds Unlimited in Mequon.   

This month, Dan and naturalist Laine Cotteleer will lead a hike to explore our many ponds and Mystery Lake in search for herons, kingfishers, flycatchers, and other wetland birds. 

Anyone aged 14 and older who is interested in learning more about birds regardless of prior experience is welcome. You will learn and enhance identification skills from experienced birders. We will meet in front of the Visitor Center to begin our walk by the bird feeders.   

Free to all. Optional donation supports habitat preservation at the Center. Registration required.
