Full Moon Hike: Buck Moon
Male white-tailed deer finish growing their antlers in July, giving the month’s full moon its namesake: the Buck Moon. Embark on a journey to discover evidence of Wisconsin’s fastest land mammal, including buck rub, browsing lines, and tracks. As the sun sets and the Buck Moon rises, we will make our way up our 60-foot observation tower for a stellar view of Lake Michigan in the moonlight.
Your guide for this evening will be Environmental Educator, Laine Cotteleer, an experienced naturalist who is passionate about sharing her knowledge of Wisconsin’s native flora and fauna. She will meet you at the stone bench outside the Visitor Center to begin the hike.
This program is designed for all ages, children and adults alike. Children must be accompanied by an adult; each child and adult require a ticket. This program will take place entirely outdoors.
Members: $12 per person | Non-Members: $18 per person
