Join a welcoming community of bird enthusiasts on the second Wednesday of the month. New and experienced birders will meet to learn together, discuss bird-related issues, and hike to discover birds on the property. Our co-host is Dan Panetti, owner of Wild Birds Unlimited in Mequon.

In this presentation, learn about conservation successes and challenges that raptor ecologists face. Environmental contamination, habitat loss, and climate change have the most dramatic effect on apex predators, making raptors strong indicators of overall ecosystem health. Our live birds will provide unique opportunities to explore past and present issues.

Birders age 14 and up and of all skill levels are welcome. We will meet in the Auditorium of the Visitor Center.

Free to all. Optional donation supports habitat preservation at the Center. Registration required.
