Acrylic Painting Workshop
Adults, Art, Wheelchair Accessible
Saturdays, October 18 & October 25
Learn the basics of painting with acrylics during this two-day workshop created for beginning and intermediate-level painters. Enjoy afternoons with other bird, wildlife, and nature enthusiasts and get an introduction to exciting acrylic painting techniques while exploring elements of nature and wildlife found at Schlitz Audubon. Students progress at their own pace with instructor guidance. Participants can purchase materials from a provided list or bring their own supplies to class. Canvas will be provided.
Instructor José Acevedo uses art to explore the natural world and finds inspiration in the birds, fish, wildlife, and native plants of the Midwest. Acevedo, who has taught watercolor techniques at the Center, is also a self-taught wood carver. His hand-painted wood carvings of native Wisconsin birds, fish, and wildlife are featured at select galleries and shops.
This program will take place entirely indoors. Participants will receive a supply list after they register. Please bring a bag lunch.
