Especially for Educators: Bringing Nature into your Classroom

Make nature your teaching partner by adding sensory-rich and wonder-filled items and approaches to your teaching. In this workshop, we will offer a range of tips and ideas on how to introduce nature into your indoor teaching space, whether you are starting from scratch or working with an existing classroom. Teachers will focus on safe, child-centered, and affordable options presented in a practical and pragmatic way. This workshop also includes a detailed tour of our four indoor classrooms and four outdoor classrooms.

The Schlitz Audubon Nature School is a fully licensed, nine-month outdoor early childhood program offering Nature Preschool and K4 classes. Our workshops are co-taught by the Nature School’s professionally trained and motivated teachers who offer years of early childhood and outdoor nature-based teaching experience.
