Mid-June is a great time to experience late spring and early summer blooms. We are far from the peak of wildflower season, but there are a great variety of delicate and bold colors to find while attentively hiking. The birds that have stayed past migration are now here for one reason: to breed. The males are claiming territory and defending these areas with incessant vocalizations, including songs and calls.

Visit this week and catch the last of the spring flowers and the beginning of summer!
