As the colder weather rolls in, monarch butterflies start flying south toward balmier temperatures. Join Environmental Educator Laine Cotteleer to learn their life cycle and how we monitor the monarch butterfly’s journey to Mexico. We will visit several monarch butterfly hotspots on our property to potentially catch and tag their wings for the Monarch Watch Citizen Science project. We will conclude by discussing how we can support monarch migration through conservation actions.
This program is designed for all ages, children and adults alike. Children must be accompanied by an adult; each child and adult require a ticket. This program will take place completely outdoors. In case of inclement weather, it will be rescheduled to September 14th at the same time.
