Starting New Plants

Wednesday, November 6, 2024 | 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm

$17.00 – $23.00

,

Learn how to create new plants without taking a trip to the nursery! At this program, you’ll hear about multiple methods of plant propagation that make it fun to create more plants for your yard or in your house.

We’ll show you seed starting techniques from stratification to scarification. You’ll learn strategies for your seed collection, and examples of other propagation methods will be shared. With the information presented, you will have tools available to increase the number of houseplants or create more perennials for your spring planting.

The discussion will be led by our Horticulturist and Master Gardener, Sandy Manning. Sandy has a degree in Ornamental Horticulture and has been volunteering as a Master Gardener for over 20 years. She enjoys sharing plants and plant information.

Member: $17 | Non-Member: $23
