Spring City – Waukesha’s Frame Park Field Trip
Wednesday, August 2, 2023 | 10:00 am - 2:00 pm
$45.00 – $60.00Adults, Field Trips, Guided Hikes
Join Director of Education Tom Finley on a visit to his hometown of Waukesha. Founded in 1846, and first known by the name of Prairieville, Waukesha was originally inhabited by the Potawatomi. The region became famous nationally for its supposedly restorative and healthful waters, and thus earned the nickname “Spring City.”
Situated along the Fox River, Frame Park showcases both natural and human history. Two distinct trails, one more rustic than the other, will bring us to each side of the river where we will view a variety of birds, waterfowl, and other animals.
Please bring your own lunch, snacks and water. Depending on time and weather, a second nearby park site may be included. Further details and directions will be emailed to registered participants the week prior to the trip.
Members: $45 | Non-Members: $60
