Scribble & Verse: Teen/Preteen Journaling and Poetic Play

Join us for a poetry adventure where learning meets enchantment! In just two hours, young wordsmiths will take a voyage of imagination and creativity in a beautiful natural setting. Through guided encounters, they’ll explore the world around them and craft poems that bring their thoughts and feelings to life. This dynamic session will not only produce finished poems but also spark a plethora of imaginative ideas for future creations. Our focus is on fostering the joy of expression as well as a love of the natural world, ensuring that every young writer leaves with a heart full of inspiration and a pocketful of newfound poetic prowess!   

Presenters Laura Misco and David Riordan are award-winning writers and teachers dedicated to nurturing the creative work of others. In their combined 50 years of instruction, they have guided countless writers on the path to fulfilling their goals in a multitude of genres.
