Raptor Saturday
Saturday, February 4, 2023 | 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm
Families, Free with Membership, Raptors, Wheelchair Accessible
Folklore and myths about birds exist in nearly every culture across the world. The ability to rise above the earth and soar through the skies has long linked birds to the supernatural. From representing ill omens or being characterized as tricksters, to being worshipped as deities and seen as symbols of freedom, strength, and wisdom, humans have long shared stories about these feathered creatures. Join us and meet several of our live raptor ambassadors for this unique edition of Raptor Saturday!
Scheduled to appear: Baron von Screech (Eastern Screech Owl), Sky Walker (Red-tailed Hawk), Otis (Peregrine Falcon), Loki (American Crow), and Zari (Great Horned Owl).
This program will take place in the Auditorium in our Visitor Center.
Free with membership or admission. Registration is not necessary.
