Due to the excessive heat, for the welfare of our birds, we have canceled today’s Raptor Encounter. Please join us another time.
Join us in the Great Hall of our Visitor Center to meet one or two birds from our Raptor Program! We will talk about the specific skills, traits, and adaptations that are unique to that bird.
Our Raptor Program educates about raptor ecology, conservation, and these birds’ important roles in the ecosystem. Our collection emphasizes raptors – hawks, owls, eagles, and falcons – but also includes an American Crow. Each of our resident birds is not releasable to the wild and is in our permanent care.
