Pike Lake Field Trip
Wednesday, November 1, 2023 | 10:00 am - 2:00 pm
$50.00 – $65.00Adults, Birding, Field Trips, Guided Hikes
Director of Education Tom Finley will guide us through the Pike Lake Unit of the Kettle Moraine State Forest, which lies in the middle of the beautiful hilly region known as the Kettle Moraine – a strip of glacial landforms extending throughout southeast Wisconsin. Fall is a glorious time of year to visit the area, just east of Hartford, and take in the remaining colors. We’ll hike a portion of the Ice Age trail and climb the 60-foot tower for a breathtaking 360-degree view of the countryside for many miles around. We’ll also hike the scenic Black Forest Nature Trail and look for animals that inhabit the woods.
A vehicle admission sticker is required. The field trip begins and ends at Pike Lake. You will need to provide your own transportation to and from the park. Please bring your own lunch/snacks. Further details will be emailed to registered participants prior to the trip.
Members: $50 | Non-Members: $65
