Mammal Skulls and Fur ID Workshop
Adults, Guided Hikes, Wheelchair Accessible
Sunday, November 22 | 9:30a-11:30a
Mammals can be found across all of Wisconsin’s habitats. In this workshop, we will practice identification using real skulls and fur, along with a custom guide you can take home. After an indoor presentation and activities, our group will hike in search of the variety of mammals that are active along the trails. By the end, you will come away with an understanding of how to identify most Wisconsin mammals.
This workshop is led by Environmental Educator Jim Thielke, who has been teaching animal identification for all ages. Skeletons and skulls of animals have always fascinated him, and he particularly enjoys studying the weasels of Wisconsin.
This workshop will take place both indoors and outdoors.
Members: $24 | Non-members: $34
