Horicon Marsh Birding & Nature Tour

Wednesday, October 11, 2023 | 10:00 am - 2:00 pm

$50.00 – $65.00

, , ,

Explore Horicon Wildlife Refuge, the premier wetland in the Midwest, with Director of Education Tom Finley and Adult Program Coordinator Michelle Allison. Discover this Wetland of International Importance by car and on foot. As the largest freshwater cattail marsh in the United States, Horicon is home to over 260 bird species and other diverse wildlife. We’ll be sure to visit the Wisconsin DNR Education and Visitor’s Center and also travel to the north side for the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service Auto Tour. We will have the opportunity to observe the adaptations and behaviors of the birds which depend on this important habitat for their survival.

The field trip begins and ends at Horicon Marsh. You will need to provide your own transportation to and from the Marsh and to the various locations during the trip. Please bring your own lunch/snacks. Further details will be emailed to registered participants prior to the trip.

Members: $50 | Non-Members: $65
