Fall Forest Fridays Series
Eight Fridays: September 18 & 25, October 2, 16, & 23, and November 6, 13, & 20
Forest Fridays is an 8-week, Friday morning series hosted by the Nature School. This program makes use of the Center’s outstanding trails, as well as the school’s four specially designed outdoor classrooms. In this series, Nature School Early Childhood Educators focus on nature experiences that are age-appropriate and include plenty of time for play and social interaction. Our series highlights include inquiry-based science, emergent literacy, and process-focused art experiences.
This series is designed for children ages 4-6 and is the perfect option for families who would like their children to share in the Nature School experience, but prefer a short-term commitment!
In our Fall Series, we’ll wonder and learn about insects, animal migration and how animals get ready for winter, the science of leaves changing color, and seed dispersal. Participants will hike and explore favorite destinations at Schlitz Audubon, including Mystery Lake, Woodland Loop, and Lake Michigan, but also have time to climb, play, and explore.
Members: $450 | Non-members: $525
