Evening Hike: Cold Moon and Cold Animals

Winter is almost upon us, and with it the new year.  Join Schlitz Audubon on an evening hike to experience the Cold Moon, the final full moon of the year! Search for the first signs of winter and observe Wisconsin’s native wildlife preparing for it. We will finish our hike with a trip to the top of the observation tower to catch a moonlit view of Lake Michigan.

Environmental Educator Jim Thielke will be your guide for this excursion. He is an experienced naturalist who is passionate about sharing his knowledge of Wisconsin’s native flora and fauna.

This program will take place entirely outdoors. Please meet at the stone bench outside the Visitor Center to begin the hike.
