Ephemeral Nature – Ephemeral Art

This art and nature program will focus on ephemeral art and the changes that are taking place in fall. Nature is in a constant state of change, full of moments and objects that are temporary (flowers, sunsets, waves…). We will learn about some well-known ephemeral artists who are known for their temporary, site-specific artworks using stones, leaves, sticks, snow, ice, and other natural materials available. Using these artists and their work as our inspiration, and materials that we find in nature, we will create our own ephemeral artworks. This program will begin inside and then we will go outside to hike and make ephemeral art.
