Embracing Self-Efficacy: Allowing Children to Do Things for Themselves

Wednesday, November 19, 2025 | 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm
Free

While doing everything for your child may feel helpful and loving, it can hinder their development and ability to cope with challenges as they grow. By taking responsibility and overcoming small difficulties, children build a sense of competence and move towards functional independence. We will discuss how adults can help children build confidence, resilience, and coping skills.

This program is part of the Nature School’s Community in Conversation series. These programs bring families, caregivers, and professionals together to discuss topics relevant to families of young children.

This is an adult only event.
